Our educational approach is developed by extensive research on pedagogy gives emphasis on independence, freedom within limits, and respect for a child’s natural psychological, physical, and social development.
We base our work on our observations of children and experimentation with the environment, materials, and lessons available to them.
Our education at Shishukunj International is fundamentally a model of human development, and an educational approach based on that model. The model has two basic principles. First, children and developing adults engage in psychological self-construction by means of interaction with their environments. Second, children, especially under the age of 5.5, have an innate path of psychological development. Based on the observations, we believe that children at liberty to choose and act freely within an environment prepared according to the model would act spontaneously for optimal development.
We firmly believe what Dr Radhakrishnan said, ”Teachers should be the best brains in the nation” and we have a dedicated team of well qualified teachers trained in pedagogical skills and equipped with all necessary educational tools.
